A highlight of the week will be the SLUstainability Expo, which will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Center for Global Citizenship. The event will feature vendors that partner with SLU and organizations that have a sustainable focus. Representatives from Fox Architects and McCarthy Building Companies, which worked on the CGC renovation project, also will make a presentation during the expo.

Saint Louis University was recently named one of Sierra Club’s “Cool Schools,” an honor given by the environmental organization to colleges and universities around the country that are committed to sustainability.
Saint Louis University’s 2nd Annual Garden to Table Fundraiser will be held Friday, September 19th, 2014 from 4:30pm – 7:00pm. This event is an opportunity to raise funds for SLU’s on-campus organic teaching garden as well as highlight all of the various garden programs. The fundraiser will feature food prepared by SLU chef-instructors, wine and beer pairings, as well as garden tours, live music, and a silent auction.
The second annual Sustainable Disaster Recovery Conference was a great success! Thanks to our outstanding group of speakers and guests who graciously shared their expertise, experience, and perspectives on sustainable disaster planning, response, and recovery.
Established in 2010 by a grant from the Alberici Foundation, Saint Louis University’s Center for Sustainability offers in-demand graduate degrees in Sustainability and Urban Planning and Development and a graduate certificate in Advanced Remote Sensing (ARS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The mission of the Center for Sustainability is to create a more sustainable world through interdisciplinary education, research, and community outreach programs.
