Saint Joseph’s University will fulfill its role as a responsible environmental steward, as informed by the Catholic and Jesuit traditions, in part through its commitment to developing and enhancing sustainable means of transportation to the University and within the surrounding communities.
The Purchasing Work Group will research, propose, and evaluate strategies which ensure the responsible purchase and use of resources at Saint Joseph’s University. with particular regard to the environment, the economy, and social justice issues, and the school’s mission as a Catholic and Jesuit University.
The mission of the working group on marketing is to ensure that the Saint Joseph’s University Sustainability program is highly visible, to both internal and external constituencies, that the University’s efforts are clearly and effectively communicated, and that all members of the SJU community have an opportunity for input.
