Food Week – October 20 to 24
The Institute for Environmental Stewardship, The Pedro Arrupe Center for Business Ethics, the SJU Community Garden Club and the SJU Sustainability Commitee are partnering to bring a series of events related to food with a focus on urban agriculture, food justice and sustainability issues. Some of the events are listed below, others will be added soon.

SJU Community Garden

Working Group on Transportation

MET11septa-bus-2Saint Joseph’s University will fulfill its role as a responsible environmental steward, as informed by the Catholic and Jesuit traditions, in part through its commitment to developing and enhancing sustainable means of transportation to the University and within the surrounding communities.

Working Group on Purchasing

sjucircledThe Purchasing Work Group will research, propose, and evaluate strategies which ensure the responsible purchase and use of resources at Saint Joseph’s University. with particular regard to the environment, the economy, and social justice issues, and the school’s mission as a Catholic and Jesuit University.

Working Group on Marketing

SJU Orange SlicedThe mission of the working group on marketing is to ensure that the Saint Joseph’s University Sustainability program is highly visible, to both internal and external constituencies, that the University’s efforts are clearly and effectively communicated, and that all members of the SJU community have an opportunity for input.
