photo-2-06-october-2016-editorial-1The Joint Seminar of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and the Pontifical Academy of Sciences on Laudato si’ and the Path to COP22 in Marrakechreleased their Final Statement that Ecojesuit shares below, urging all the signatories to the Paris Agreement to “move forward together with determination, urgency, shared values and a common global plan” and emphasizing 10 opportunities and priorities.

CIDSE open letter to the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace

ANSA830623_Articolo(Vatican Radio)  The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace recieved an open letter on Thursday from CIDSE, which was written by communities in Latin America affected by mining operations.

The affected communities recently participated in a meeting called “In union with God we hear a plea”, organized by CIDSE and the Latin American network, Iglesias y Mineria (Churches and Mining).
